Send email newsletter through Gmail - Is that possible? Yes. But none in Google searches have a simplified step-by-steps and many says it is impossible.

Now, you can try this simple "drag and drop" method to include header and other images to the body of your Gmail letter.

No HTML, CSS, WYSIWYG knowledge or any 3rd party newsletter software/websites required.

On this method, you can...
1. send a poster or flyer as a flat image (gif/jpg) in the body of the message.
2. send a normal newsletter with separate header, texts and other elements.
3. send an image as a body content and not as attachment. You can attach a small signature too.

Gmail users normally have to click "display images below" to see the images on the other newsletters they receive, but this method will have the image visible without clicking that option to your recipients.
  • 1

Upload your header, footer, or any image (such as flyer/poster) to any free image hosting provider.

  • 2

View the uploaded image from your internet browser.

The domain name/URL of your published image must be visible online.
    Example: http://anyimagehostingprovider.com/anyfolder/newsletter.jpg
    and not as file:///Users/YourName/Desktop/newsletter.jpg

  • 3

Open another browser window for your Gmail then click "Compose Mail".

  • 4

"Drag and drop" your uploaded image to the body of your letter.

Add more images as you wish. Type your message before or after each images. You can highlight any text or image and add link as usual.

  • 5

That's it! Your newsletter is ready to be sent.
