    Locate a sample LLC agreement or use the one linked to in Resources below. Once you have the sample downloaded or copied into a word-processing software, you can begin inputting your specific information.





  • Step 2


    Determine the agreement has all the essential information. It should include sections regarding what percentage of ownership the members will have, the rights and responsibilities of each member, voting powers, how the LLC will be managed, how meetings will be handled, how profit and losses will be managed, and buyout options if a members leaves or dies.





  • Step 3


    Sign and file the agreement. All members must sign and date the agreement. Many states require that you file your agreement. Visit or call your Secretary of State's office to see if you need to submit a copy. Give copies of the agreement to each member and file the original with the LLC's legal papers.
